Shane Schaffner

October is National Principal Month and we wanted to take a moment to profile one of our Administrative Cabinet Members.

Mr. Shane Schaffner is the principal of Libbey Elementary Schools and has multiple years as a school leader. He joined #onePlatte1 from Northwest Wyoming where he also served as a principal. He brings his vast knowledge of what is best for kids to work with him each day. If you have a spare second, please discuss with him how he serves kids and his staff.

Shane and his wife, Lindsay, have two active children. Kendall is a sophomore at WHS and Nolan is wrapping up his WMS career this year. Both student-athletes can be found participating on various courts and in competitive arenas. Lindsay is a third-grade teacher at West Elementary and both of these educators are committed to their students. Two of Mr. Shaffner’s passions are fly fishing and supporting his kids in whatever they do!

“Mr. Schaffner is the epitome of ‘Reaching the Peak’. He has high standards for staff in his building for the betterment of the students that grace his hallways. He goes above and beyond making the kids feel as they have a friend in him. He is an asset to the district with one goal in mind and that is kids!” Grey Meyer School Board Chairman
