WHS Library Gets New Books

#onePlatte1 is proud to announce the Micro-Grant process throughout the district. We have received some generous financial contributions from some local businesses and we put together a little grant package for teachers and staff to apply for. The following information is from WHS Library and the benefits that she has received from these donations.

It’s a tremendous honor to receive this micro-grant to purchase new books for the library.  Here at WHS, we have our Blue and Gold time which the main focus is reading for pleasure.  Our goal is to increase each student’s reading ability by offering them an opportunity to read what they want to read and not just a textbook.  We try to update the books in the library so students have current and appropriate reading options.  Each year, we research the Top 100 books for high schoolers and purchase them to add to the library.  Your generous donation will help us continue to update our library for our students.  Thank you for investing in our students! ~ Mr. Sandlian
