PCSD #1 is part of the Wyoming Believing in Literacy Together grant.  The goals of this grant include:  1.  Improve Reading Proficiency 2.  Quality Professional Development for Educators  3.  Expanded Access to Literacy Resource 4.  Family and Community Engagement  5.  Data-Driven instruction  6.  Support for English Language Learners  7.  Promote a Culture of Literacy   These goals can be adjusted based on the specific needs of the schools and communities involved in the Wyoming Believing in Literacy Together grant.  
 
Libbey Elementary utilizes Wyoming Believing in Literacy Together (WY-BILT) grant funds on a daily basis to:
  • Ensure kindergarten reading readiness.
  • Increase learning capacity - achievement and growth for all students. 
  • Facilitating the adoption and implementation of evidence-based curricula materials.  
  • Increase educators’ knowledge of skills around literacy instruction through LETRS implementation and on-site professional development with Wilson Language.
