WHY CHOOSE PLATTE #1

Wheatland Middle School 8th graders recently embarked on a fascinating field trip to Wheatland Reservoir to study the diverse world of insects. As part of their science curriculum, students had the opportunity to catch and examine various insect species up close.

The field trip provided a hands-on learning experience that allowed students to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world observations. By exploring the natural habitat of insects, students gained a deeper understanding of their life cycles, behaviors, and adaptations.

The math and language arts classes have successfully completed the district MAP testing. This valuable assessment tool will provide teachers with essential data to tailor instruction and resources to meet the individual needs of each student. By analyzing the results, teachers can effectively guide students towards academic success.

Additionally, the school hosted a highly successful Parent-Teacher Conference last week. The strong turnout demonstrates the commitment of parents to their children's education and the importance of open communication with school staff. These conferences offer a valuable opportunity for parents and teachers to discuss student progress, set goals, and collaborate on strategies for success.

Wheatland Middle School is dedicated to fostering a strong partnership between parents and the school. By prioritizing open communication and collaboration, the school aims to create a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes student achievement.

Wheatland Middle School is proud to announce the induction of several new students into the prestigious National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). Membership in the NJHS is a significant achievement that recognizes students' outstanding academic performance, leadership qualities, character, and commitment to service.

To be eligible for NJHS membership, students must maintain a high-grade point average, demonstrate leadership skills, exhibit exemplary character, and actively participate in community service activities. The induction ceremony was a celebration of these students' accomplishments and their dedication to academic excellence and citizenship.
