Libbey CK and Kindergarten students recently went to Wilhelm Farms to supplement their learning about Farm Work from their recent Geodes book. In this book, the students read about how farmers use many types of equipment to complete their job; which include, a combine, grain cart, baler, grain drill, and much more. Students are also tasked with finding certain beginning sounds in the book they are reading. This is a great way for them to practice their pre-reading skills. While at the farm, students were able to explore these different pieces of equipment and ask questions while visiting. It is also a great way to show our students some of what our local ag industry does for our community and beyond. This was a great hands-on experience for the kids!
