Peak High School

Peak High School is Platte #1’s state approved and accredited alternative school. PHS provides opportunities for alternative learning opportunities including setting up individualized plans for students who need a different school setting, virtual education, and/or credit recovery. Students have access to all core and elective courses offered on the WHS campus along with access to concurrent and dual enrollment courses through EWC. Students enrolled at PHS often have their core classes through the use of two digital resources provided by the district including Edgenuity and SchoolsPLP.

The flexibility of PHS allows opportunities for students to work together and build relationships. One example of the relationships being built was between PHS students and kindergarten students at Libbey Elementary. PHS students worked with kindergarten students on a book project. PHS and Libbey students worked together to co-author the books by writing the story, creating the artwork, and then sharing their work with the rest of the class. Mrs. Ciz reported that students had a great time and it was fun to see the high school students working with the Libbey students.
